Glass and Stained Glass
The use of glass plates to put on the windows established itself in imperial Rome through a revolutionary technique of blowing (attested by Plinio), and quickly spread for its practicality. Under Ottaviano Augusto, glass production became a real industry.
In the late Roman Empire spread the use of stained glass windows in houses, in churches and prestigious buildings.
