Text by Andrea Branzi, Anne Beyaert-Geslin.
"A castle-museum and an industrial site came together for the exhibition entitled Désir d'objets, united by the vase – an archetypal figure and timeless object that incorporates artistic creation, industrial production and poetic presence.
The Musée départemental d'art contemporain de Rochechouart is housed in a fifteenth-century castle overlooking the Limousin countryside, thereby providing the ideal setting for the exhibition scenario imagined by Nestor Perkal: an art lover's home, given over to his collection of vases. The latter are grouped according to elective affinities on tables, on antique or anonymous pieces of furniture, and on the shelves that line the coloured walls."
