This is the first full-scale monograph on Andrea Del Sarto Published since 1935. It embodies most complete reserce on the subject so far presented. It contains an exensive examination of Andrea's style, and evaluates his accomplishment as painter and draughtsman in the context of his contemporary art.
In this volume the reader will find an account of Andrea's whole career as a painter, together with the illustrations of all his authentic paintings and a selection of his drawings. It also includes a brief biography and a selected bibliography.
