The Valdelsa Archaeological Society of Casole d'Elsa was founded in 1965 in order to promote the knowledge and protection of the municipal archaeological heritage. Thanks to the commitment of the founding members, who supported the staff of the Archaeological Superintendency of Tuscany, and the support of the municipal administration, in 1968 the Etruscan Antiquarium was created, since 1996 an integral part of the Civic Archaeological Museum and of the Collegiate Church of Casole d ' Elsa. The company is registered in the regional register of associations, takes care of the implementation of educational projects aimed at schools and the local community as well as the promotion of the culture and history of the territory. This catalog, to which various personalities from the world of research have contributed, is the natural result of a work, begun over ten years ago, which has engaged in various capacities a large group of people who, thanks to a strong commitment and a intense work, they managed to increase the archaeological knowledge related to our territory.
