Raccontare la creatività, il gusto estetico, l'amore per la tradizione tessile antica di Giuseppe Lisio è l'intento di questa pubblicazione. Tuttavia, sebbene il centenario della nascita dell'Arte della Seta Lisio porti automaticamente a guardare alla preziosa e feconda produzione realizzata dal "tessitore di ogní colore" e successivamente dalla sua erede, la figlia Fidal ma,l'anniversario è anche l'occasione per guardare avanti, per sottolineare quelli che sono i risultati raggiunti e gli obiettivi futuri della Fondazione, oggi cuore pulsante della tradizione Lisio. Una tradizione antica, preziosa e unica nel panorama italiano del tessile di alto livello e che anche per questo merita attenzione.
Questo volume, sebbene non possa offrire un campionario esaustivo sulla sterminata produzione Lisio, vuole tuttavia essere una testimonianza, un contributo per far conoscere meglio una realtà, quella della Fondazione, che partendo da una tradizione antichissima ha ancora oggi le maestranze e le risorse creative per contribuire a mantenere ad altissimo livello una produzione di eccellenza che oggi, più che mai ha bisogno di essere promossa ma anche difesa.

Talking about creativity, aesthetic taste, love for the ancient textile tradition of Giuseppe Lisio is the intent of this publication. However, although the centenary of the birth of the Art of Silk Lisio leads automatically to look at the precious and fruitful production made by the "weaver of each color" and later by his heir, his daughter Fidal but, the anniversary is also an opportunity to looking forward, to underline the results achieved and the future objectives of the Foundation, today the beating heart of the Lisio tradition. An ancient tradition, precious and unique in the Italian panorama of high-level textiles and that also deserves attention. This volume, although it can not offer an exhaustive sample on the exterminated Lisio production, however, wants to be a testimony, a contribution to raise awareness of a reality, that of the Foundation, which starting from an ancient tradition still has the workers and creative resources for to contribute to maintaining at the highest level a production of excellence that today, more than ever, needs to be promoted but also defended.
