This publication was possible with the collaboration of a group of friends and the participation of all those who believed in the initiative. It is the revised and translated version of "Prato... ma questa è un'altra storia" and "Prato... il genio e l'ingegno", collections of the imaginary interviews of Francesco di Marco Datini.
Katherine Fay is thrilled to have had the honor of translating these stories.
Albert Einstein wrote a letter in 1934 entitled: "The World as I See Ii" " which ended with these words: "'Speaking of crisis means increasing it and failing to speak of it evalts conformity. Instead, we must work hard. We must call a halt to the one really dangerous crisis what is the tragedy of mot wanting to fight to overcome it"
Reading these words strengthens our conviction that Prato, its people, its business world, have what it takes in terms of ideas and entrepreneurship to survive these difficult times, thanks to the tradition of an ancient culture that permeates everything: the air we breathe, the streets and buildings of this lovely Tuscan city.
